# Solana RPC API reference and guides

> Read Solana accounts, send transactions, and subscribe to on-chain updates with Solana Tracker HTTP and WebSocket RPC.

Use Solana RPC to query on-chain state, simulate and submit signed transactions, or subscribe to account and network updates. Solana Tracker exposes standard JSON-RPC methods alongside custom queries for token accounts, lookup tables, domains, and priority fees.

## Start with a request

Send HTTP requests to `https://rpc-mainnet.solanatracker.io/?api_key=YOUR_API_KEY`. For subscriptions, use `wss://rpc-mainnet.solanatracker.io/?api_key=YOUR_API_KEY`. Get an RPC API key from the [dashboard](https://www.solanatracker.io/solana-rpc).

## Find the method you need

* **Accounts and SOL balances:** start with [getAccountInfo](/solana-rpc/http/getaccountinfo), [getBalance](/solana-rpc/http/getbalance), or [getMultipleAccounts](/solana-rpc/http/getmultipleaccounts).
* **Token holdings:** find a wallet's token accounts with [getTokenAccountsByOwnerV2](/solana-rpc/http/gettokenaccountsbyownerv2). Read supply with [getTokenSupply](/solana-rpc/http/gettokensupply).
* **Transaction history:** list signatures with [getSignaturesForAddress](/solana-rpc/http/getsignaturesforaddress), then fetch details with [getTransaction](/solana-rpc/http/gettransaction).
* **Transaction submission:** [simulate](/solana-rpc/http/simulatetransaction), [send](/solana-rpc/http/sendtransaction), and [check status](/solana-rpc/http/getsignaturestatuses). A returned signature does not mean the transaction is confirmed.
* **Program accounts:** use [getProgramAccountsV2](/solana-rpc/http/getprogramaccountsv2) for cursor-based queries. Its response differs from the standard method.
* **Lookup tables and domains:** follow the [lookup table guide](/guides/solana-rpc-lookup-tables) or [SNS guide](/guides/solana-rpc-sns-domains).

## Choose the right data interface

RPC returns chain data and execution results. For indexed token prices, market data, and wallet analytics, use the [Data API guides](/guides/index). For filtered account and transaction streams over gRPC, use [Yellowstone gRPC](/yellowstone-grpc/index).

Method names and parameters follow the [Solana JSON-RPC reference](https://solana.com/docs/rpc/http), except where a page describes a Solana Tracker custom method.
